Our project group plans to launch a commercial for Cheers on television. This commercial will emphasize that Cheers is a place where active student and young professional can visit after long and stressful hours of working or studying for immediate demands such as buying some drinks, snacks and magazines and fill in their cars before going home. This commercial will feature three well-known students: Samuel Seah -SEA Games medalist, Terence Tan- top student, ASEAN scholarship and Felicia Chin, movie star. On a Saturday evening, each of these students goes to Cheers for different purpose but finally meet at the counter. Since they are already close friends, they end up having a party at Samuel’s house with Cheers’ Fizz drink and snacks.

Plot: On a Saturday evening, 5pm

Scene 1: (10 seconds) After playing sports Samuel is very tired so he runs to Cheers to buy some drinks to quench his thirst.

Scene 2: (10 seconds) After long hours of reading and doing research in the library, Terence is exhausted so he goes to Cheers and buys some snack before going home.

Scene 3: (10 seconds) Felicia is driving home after finishing her job as the main actress for her newest movie, The Deck. She stops at Exxon Mobile station to fill up the car. When she is about to leave, she sees such a long queue of car on the street. To get rid of the traffic jam, Felicia decides to visit Cheers for some magazines.

Scene 4: (10 seconds) Three of them meet at the counter in Cheers. They are all very happy since they are close friends before. Finally they end up having a party (with Fizz drink and snacks bearing Cheers’ logo on the package) and watching movie at Samuel’s home.

Execution:

The full commercial has 4 scenes. To attract more attention, each scene 1, 2 and 3 will be released first on television. At the end of each scene, there will be a message: “Guess what is waiting for him/her at Cheers.”

Finally after three weeks, the full commercial is launched. The ending of each small scene with the message “Guess what is waiting for him/her at Cheers” is taken away, instead, Cheers’ new slogan will appear at the end “Cheers to life,” or “Convenience at one stop”
